This is just the beginning of the Trust’s commitment to restore this much-loved local facility to its former glory. There is still a lot to do and we aim to secure substantial investment to complete the site’s transformation by 2027/2028 when the Town celebrates its 500 Year Royal Charter.

Crown Green Bowls, whether joining in casual social bowlers or through the Royal British Legion’s League teams, continues each season (March to October annually). To access the tennis courts on a pay-as-you-go basis is going to take a little longer. The Trust is busy organising fundraising events (insert justgiving link) so that we can approach major benefactors and grant funders to secure investment into the remaining big ticket items.
